Theological Book Network believes that well-equipped leaders are vital for these Christian communities to flourish. Yet Majority World theological schools face a shortage of relevant theological books. This gap presents a significant barrier to training the next generation of Church leaders. 

Books play a vital role in a theological student’s formation. Books help students grow in their reverence for God, knowledge of His Word, and understanding of the world they are called to serve. Books open new ways of thinking, expand knowledge, and provide ways to go beyond the classroom. They communicate wisdom from other parts of the world and other moments in time. Even in an increasingly digital age, books remain a vital part of the seminary curriculum – especially because many Majority World seminaries are located in areas without stable internet or electricity. However, most Majority World libraries are outdated, undersized, and under-funded. One pallet of books – approximately 1,200 volumes, valued at over $35,000 – is the equivalent of decades of book-by-book purchases for one of these seminaries. 

Theological Book Network answers this challenge by acquiring, curating, and delivering premium theological texts to schools. With these resources, schools are able to equip new leaders to serve their churches and their societies. Donations of high-quality books can have generations of impact on a Majority World theological library as cohort after cohort of students and faculty are able to access these previously unavailable resources.
